Light installation Enlightenment, Blackpool Promenade

Sited on the promenade at Blackpool, Enlightenment was created as a result of close collaboration with the local community.  The 5m x 3m ‘box’ was lit internally with fluorescent and uv lighting, creating an intriguing, engaging presence in the landscaped gardens for which it was designed.

Each of the five sections contains artwork created as a result of the community engagement.  The exterior was manufactured with vandal resistant acrylic.
